To help writers apply the Structured Writing Method in their daily work, the DocuTools™ Writing System includes DocuTools™ 5 formatting software, giving writers the formatting tools needed to quickly create documentation and training content for print and online deployment.

DocuTools™ integrates seamlessly with Microsoft Word, allowing writers to quickly format and edit their documents using pre-defined templates, styles, icons and layouts that:

• Facilitate reading and comprehension for readers.

DocuTools™ runs directly within MS Word, providing writers with easy and intuitive toolbars and drop menus to access common functions. The screens below illustrate how DocuTools™ appears within Word 2003 and 2007.

It's easy to create and save your own custom AutoTopics by modifying an existing one or creating a new one from scratch. Send your custom AutoTopic to fellow authors so they can add it to their Gallery and follow the same standard. You can even create and save custom header-footer combinations that use your logo, copyright or similar information.
